Simi Valley High School was established in 1920 and sits on over 50 acres below the Santa Susana Mountains. Lead by Principal Dean May, SVHS has been a California Distinguished School since 1996 and was ranked the 555th best high school in the United States by MSNBC's top 1000 school's.

The Simi Valley Track & Field program has a long history of excellence with multiple individual, league and state titles. In the 1980's, led by coach Don Green, the SVHS T&F boys won Marmonte League titles in 1984,'85, '86
